Manufacturing - when to continue work.

Hi All,

I have a manufacturing customer. They sell a product which needs to be assembled from 25 components. We use production orders. Sometimes they have only 24 components on stock out of the 25 needed to complete the order, so they want to start producing although 1 component is missing. They can get most of the work done, but need to "park" the order until the last component has been purchased.

But how would you monitor when this last component is available to be picked? Is there some report to help with this?
