Hi everyone,

I keep find my report layout changed whenever i add data items or data sets in the dev environment. For example, when i add a block of datasets i find and exra blank page on my report when i run it. What's the correlation between this too?

I was just trying to implement the item approval with the expectation that I won't be able to enter the item in an purchase or sale line as long the item has not been approoved. NAV did create an approval but the item has not been blocked in the purchase/sales line in any way.

What I did yet is to specify in the workflow setup as a restricted record - if it does get restricted do I not know, because I don't know how the result is supposed to look like. How could I block it?

I am getting various compile errors trying to compile my NAV2018 Demo database. Specifically Outlook Sync. Codeunits 5304..5310; they all comeback to this error:

Can we do it?
Ex :
I have :
User Y
Company A and company B
Profile 1 and Profile 2

for the user Y in the company A => configure profile 1

Hi,

Seeking assistance on my Concern in Clickonce:Dynamics Nav 2016

Concern: Unable to Preview or Print Report (Ex. Trial balance)
Upon Performing Preview/ Print Report. Dynamics Nav suddenly Close and Have Error Msg : The Server was unable to process the request. The Application will be close.

Note: RTC and Web Client - Preview and Print Report works Fine
Error Appear after we Renew the Certificate.

Check DB Owner
Restart Service Instance

Is it in any way possible to have the 2009 RTC client open a classic form - Asking in connection with a project were the customer wants a small part of their users to use the RTC client but without having to convert forms to pages. I know its probably going to be some kind of "hack" using the classic client in the background or something like it.

Hey everyone,

we are getting a weird issue with the post + print CU.
On a sales order, we click on Post and Print button on the actions tab in the ribbon. It will print the document. THEN it will pull up the request page and then print again.

This is an upgrade from an older version of nav to Nav2017. We are using CUpdate 10 (I believe) and there is nothing that I can find in the CU80 or 82 that would trigger it to print twice.

Anyone have any suggestions or questions?

Dear all,

When I try to post I am getting error related to SQL. When I run DBCC function in SQL, it is showing error table sysobjvalue which tells there are duplicate keys on the table. Now I am unable to access the table.

Running the page directly from webclient works fine. It's just starting debuging session that the webclient errors out.

Hi all,

We are trying to figure out how to retrospectively link an item with a Production BOM. Our client is wanting to use the Where-Used function and for that all Items created by Production BOMs need to be linked to the Production BOM. However, when we try to link the two we get the error:
"The Production BOM cannot be changed. An item variant is already in use"
I have checked and this item has three variants, one of which is linked to the Production BOM. I can also see that I can't remove the Production BOM from the variant. Is there a way around this? I was wondering if creating a new version of a Production BOM would free it up to be linked to the Item?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello, I am wondering if what I am trying to accomplish here is possible. I have a listpage that uses USERID to set different filters on the page and this is done on the OnOpenPage() trigger.
I then exposed this page as a webservice and would like to do a similar sort of filtering, but pass an ID as a parameter instead of using USERID. Is there a good way to interact with the page here to set this filter before calling the read_muliple function that the web service offers? I've taken a look a extending the page webservice with a codeunit but from what I can tell this only provides me with a hook to manipulate a specific record, and not the page itself.

Hi All,

Getting the below error while importing a .navdata file into a newly created blank database in SQL Server.

Import-NAVData : Cannot establish a connection to the SQL Server/Database.

This could be due to one of the following reasons:
* The SQL server is not started.
* The database does not exist.
* Proper permissions have not been given to the NAV Server Account.
Try again later or contact your system administrator.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

how do we update the clickonce clients?

Right now we have clickonce packages on a server xxx.yyy/customer/clickonce/ClickOnceDeploymentFiles/ ...

We know we need to make the new client files available, So that when the User open his ClickOnce the Client will be updates to the new Version. but how?
What I tried till now (2 different ways):
First Way:
- I replaced the .../Deployment/Applicationsfiles folder with the neu CU deployment Files. But I didn't replace the manifest!
- I also updated the manifest version No. with the new Bulid no.
- Also I made the required minim version to be 9.0.0.0



Results:
When the user open his click once is starts normally & nothing happens




Second Way:
I made a new installation for the new Bulid + I renamed the new Folder to have the same name like the old deployment folder + I deleted the old Deployment folder!
Results:
When the user open his click once it gave back an error & it cannot start the client, I have to install ClickOnce then it will work! --> I want to avoid this


So can anyone tell me please how can I make Clickone to update it self once the user open it? We have almost 50 user which uses clickonce, I donot want to make a new deployment! coz if i did so i have to deinstall the old client and reinstall the new client on 50 Pcs.
