I have to import some different data to navision so I have created an xml to import Items

Items have 4 dimensions, always so I defined

Color
Brand
Series
System




How is the simplest way to insert these dimensions?

Hi all,

I case of RTC , we have function in Codeunit -419(File Management) "SelectFolderDialog", Which is useful and can be used to select folder.

But in case of WEBCLIENT, this SELCTFOLDERDIALOG is not working.is there is any alternative.?

I have a simple Nav 2017 codeunit which compiles well on Nav Development. I then go forward to Publish and Expose it. But when i paste the URL on my browser (IE) its not showing my Functions. What could be wrong ? Please help.

Hi Experts,

I was using AL for creating new table/page by extension.
I came across a requirement where I want to add an additional validation code in OnValidate trigger of a field in Item table by extension.
Can you please suggest as I kind of got stuck.

Hello community,

A customer of ours does not allow internet access of any kind and therefore we had some trouble to get the NAV 2018 Web Client and Help Server running.
I've found a <a href=https://community.dynamics.com/nav/f/34/t/271505">workaround</a&gt; for the Web Client. Unfortunately no such thing exists for the Help Server.
Does anyone have a solution for this or are we out of luck?

Hi experts
Is it possible to convert a DateFormula to text?
Example: Input=3M, Output=3 Months

Detail: FORMAT works, but returns just 3M as a text string.

Documentation for FORMAT does not mention DATEFORMULA...

Hello everyone,

It seems MS activated CDC by default in NAV 2018 and did not documented why and if it's necessary. Couldn't find anything regarding this. According to Microsoft's CDC article, it is recommended to also activate SNAPSHOT_ISOLATION with CDC, which happens not to be active in NAV 2018 CRONUS databases.

What's the deal?

Reason why I am asking, a client of ours get sporadic Severity 16 warnings saying the automatic cleanup got blocked because of table xyz (different tables).

Since we will not be able to modify the source code in business central online, what developments will we not be able to achieve? For example, can we add a standard field to a page?

Hi Folks,

I tried to Ugrade all our ServiceTiers today,
but i could not Install CU29 or Higher (up to CU32) on our WIN 2008/2012 R2 Machines

The Install Process aborts with a Message, that Due to a Permission Problem, The Service is not able to Start.

This is the Message from the Server-Protocol

we are a footwear producer and want to give our customers access to read our stock.
I'm a NAV - Noob, so I'm pretty sure that there are enough options to do it, but I'm looking for an easy and also inexpensive.

I am trying to install new version of dll file and i am getting this error message
Could not create an instance of the OLE control or automation server identified by GUID={CC0FA5B9-6BC4-4568-9B60-5AE02CCD7932} 1.0:{C618C8CD-3C21-427A-9577-6CD87A696E61}:EEPaymentManager'.IEEDateway.

I am migrating a solution to Dynamics Bussiness central, in that solution I used some local function of the codeunit 12 for example, there were cases with I was chaged the property of the function, and other cases some functions has been changed by microsoft. some body know how to proceed?

I know that I can not replace code, how for exaple, chage the function Local XXXX to a public function. so is there any way?

Hi,

Good afternoon everyone.

I am completely new to Navision and I have a doubt.
I am trying to develop an approval workflow where there is: A first approver, a user group of approvers, and a third approver.
I am developing this workflow using the out of the box general journal line workflow.
Requirement is like: First approver will approve it, then one of the approvers in the group approves it and it goes to the third approver.
How can I implement this??

Hello, I want to export a compressed Blob field to a file (in a decompressed state) so I can upload it to a MySQL db. The Data in the field are XML Files. I do only have read access to the SQL Server, therefore I cannot change any property neither create a NAV page etc. Please help. Regards Philippe
