Hi Experts,

I have raised a Job sales Invoice through Job Module, with consuming that particular item, and the system generates a Negative impact in Value entries.
after running the adjustment the cost item entries, all value moves to GL entries.
but in Inventory valuation report the amount and quantity is getting Doubled, as system is considering the actual sales and Negative adjustment cost is getting added, which is totally wrong.

I am trying to create a new user from the job queue in Dynamics NAV 2017. And having the service tier user do the creating.
I have created a codeunit that to create the users.
But when the service tier user executes the job queue entry (and the codeunit), the following error occurs when the execution of the job queue entry COMMITs:
"You must assign at least one user the SUPER permission set and configure that user to log in with authentication type 'Windows', which is supported by the current server instance".
If I log in and executes the codeunit that creates the new users, all is fine and the users are created.
There are already many users/windows users in the "User table" with SUPER-permissions.
The service tier user is also "SUPER".
Is it not possible to have the service tier user create users in the user table (yable 2000000120)?

I'm wondering why the middle tier records the Error Messages occurring in NAV in the event log with full .net call stack. Is there a setting to disable this?

I am trying to figure out where is POUNDS (Currency in words) coming from when I print a Posted Sales Invoice.
It appears for some documents only and I can't figure out where is it coming from.
I do not want it to be there since the Currency Code shows right after it and that is all that I want.

The LCY Code on General Ledger Setup is AED and its Symbol is also AED.
The Currency of the Document is AED.
The Customer that I printed the above screenshot attached Posted Sales Invoice has Currency has LCY (hence, AED)

Its been quite some time I am trying to figure out where is the POUNDS coming from and I have failed.

for you info, the client's tenant has the following Version: Platform 14.0.37683.0 + Application 37693 (GB Business Central 14.5)

I even dug into the standard function FormatNoText from Report 1401 and could not figure out how is it bringing POUNDS.

Any help will be highly appreciated!

I have a problem while installing Busines Central which i cant seem to solve. Can anybody help me please?

The service 'Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Server [BC140]' (MicrosoftDynamicsNavServer$BC140) failed to start.
This can be caused by one of several issues.
For example, the password for the account that runs the service may be incorrect,
or there could be a conflict in port sharing for the port settings for the service,
or you have specified that the port for the server should be opened in the Windows firewall even though the Windows firewall
is not enabled on the computer.

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the concept of connecting and using external Tables in NAV. In this specific case our customer want to use an external MySQL database together with NAV 2018 CU5. The development is going to be "old school" in C/AL via the development client.

NAV is supposed to read and write into these external Tables.

I know there is the table property TableType where you would (probably?) define the Table as ExternalSQL, that the fields in NAV and MySQL have to be identical (Order of Fields, Name, Type, Length) and that a connection has to be established to get the data from the MySQL database.

But I have no bloody clue how to create the connection and which other pitfalls to avoid. While one of my colleagues has some notion on how it should be, he's never done it with a MySQL Database.

So the three big questions: Can/Should you connect NAV 2018 to an external MySQL database? If yes, how can/should it be done? If no, why and what is a better alternative?

Are promoted actions not a thing in Business Central? Or rather, are they not shown in their own tab anymore, e.g. the "Home" tab.

In NAV 2013 promoted actions on a role page where shown in their original group/tab, but also under a second group/tab, - the "Home" tab.

In Business Central this doesn't seem to be the case. Or, is there some kind of property that needs to be set?

I have a problem when printing labels on TLP 2844 printer. That printer is shared on lan and for some reason all computers have different preferences set.
So when printing from NAV it doesnt work as I want. If i set preferences manually it works well. But its not saving. Also, theres one more program which uses that printer, so I can change printer defaults, cause it can affect It. I already set everything thats possible in layout properties

I was checking the NAV App Profiler and I found this, https://archive.codeplex.com/?p=navappprofiler. I downloaded it but the dll is missing. I can't compile the page because it's returning error "Could not load type 'EtwPerformanceProfiler.EtwPerformanceProfiler.'EtwPerformanceProfiler, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null''." Any advise anyone?

BC140 Can't print directly

Hey everyone,

BC Version:

Problem:
On the RTC I can't print directly a report, when I press print and select the printer/xps/pdf or any other thing it just crashes my client.
It works fine with the Webclient, but not with the RTC.

If I do preview and then print on the preview it works OK.
I've tried this in different computers, all do the same. So i think it might be a problem with this BC version. (EDIT)

Dynamics NAV 2017 Office.dll is being randomly deleted on some user's machines

To email out of Dynamics NAV 2017, the Office dll is located in the folder: c:\Windows\assembly\GAC_MSIL\office\15.0.0.0__71e9bce111e9429c. The Office dll is the only file in the folder.

In the last few days, for some, but not all users, the entire 15.0.0.0__71e9bce111e9429c folder is being deleted along with the Office dll, of course. Users are unable to email out of Outlook until someone manually recreates the 15.0.0.0__71e9bce111e9429c folder and copies the Office dll into it. Within the last week, this has happened twice to some of our users and once for others, while most remain unaffected.

Does anyone have any ideas about what could be causing this odd behavior?

Dynamics NAV 2013

I'm trying to get a Data Matrix label printed (have got 2D QR Codes printing using the Mexico version of Nav mentioned somewhere on this forum). There are recommendations to use DataMatrix.net.dll as mentioned on https://forum.mibuso.com/discussion/comment/329727#Comment_329727.

Once downloaded I've placed the dll into the client folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\70\RoleTailored Client\Add-ins

However when I try to declare a variable I hit issues. Has anyone else used this dll on 2013, if so can you enlighten me as to what I do next?

NAV BC SOAP Navuserpassword Error 216 HTTP 500

Hi! I have a strange problem and i can't find a solution for it.
I have created a service for SOAP access. Configured with NavUserPassword and SSL.
In a web browser i type in the soap address https://nav.url.com:1111/NAVService/WS/Services. Enter username and Webservice key and login.
It shows all available endpoints. Works like a charm. Then i press F5 or reload the page or go to a codeunit or another endpoint and i get an HTTP 500 internal error. If i wait for a minute or so it works again. So the error is intermittent but it fails every time that i reload the page. The problem happens in different web browsers and from different computers.
If i change to authentication type Windows or Username it works fine all the time.

In Event viewer i get the following error 216 :
