Export-NAVData not support for NAV 2018 with Extension V2 Installed ?

Does any try before when export-NAVData in NAV 2018 ? I am using Cronus DB when export data using Powershell error message prompt out as below.
"Export-NAVData : The specified action is not currently supported because at least one V2 extension"

When i use RTC to export Data the session will be timeout automatically.

The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure NAV 2018

Hello Dynamics NAV Community!

I have this issue with trying to run a test email from my NAV 2018 version RTC Client. I am running the Cronus Database, and I am very very new to NAV. My SMTP settings in NAV 2017 is the same, and it works fine in 2017. I have also allowed my google account access from less secure apps options, as I read that only then NAV will be able to send emails for gmail. In any case, I have tried multiple accounts, including my work email(0365 Subscription Settings).

I have tried to install certificate via something call OpenSSL, but that did not work as trying to install OpenSSL on Windows proved to be quite challenging. I have compared the SSL Settings from my IIS Manager for 2017 and 2018 installs, and they are same. I am not sure how exactly I can solve this issue, and need your guidance with this.

Configuration of NAV 2017 for using Office Products

Hello,
we have a fresh NAV 2017 Installation and we want to connect to several Office products like Word and OneNote.

1.) When ever we start a bulk letter out of NAV, we get no response from Word. If you click on Word icon we got an empty bulk letter.
2.) I filled in our Server path for OneNote. There is our company notebook. Of course all users can open it without NAV. All buttons and icons are inactive.

I'm very new to NAV, so i would be glad to get a hint.

Kill Idle Session automatically does not work

Hi All,
I have set to auto kill idle session in nav administration server
But it seems even though more than 10 minutes, idle user's session wont be killed
is there something I miss?

Hey guys. Today I'm having a meeting.
I will concern the different edits or extensions the firm have been doing over the years.
The goal is to end up with a package(s) we can the offer customers around the world.
This made me wonder which add-ons or edits or extensions have other developers done that they feel is a MUST have?
Or was interesting to make or just really solved a big problem?
I'll go first starting with theses two

1. We have an edit which makes it possible to edit global dimensions after they're posted.
2. I've made a GLS intergration which makes it possible to print GLS labels from NAV instead of using GLS interline.
also all statistics are updated and is accessable for any user which has a GLSusername and PW.

How to fill Dummy data in empty space in RDLC report?

Say I have a RDLC report with One Data Item (Customer) which can display multiples lines, with multiple tablix data in a page, which has some condition check due to which some line in Layout are not displayed at run time.

suppose after table record is displaying .There are empty space in a page. Instead of that empty space i just need to fill some data (Say... "Approved") but only in the remaining empty Spaces. How it is possible to count the empty Spaces in the page and fill it in RDLC report?

Issues on installing multiple NAV 2018 NSTs

Hi to all,

I just solved an issue on installing both RTM and CU01 NAV NSTs on a server.
My situation was:
- NAV 2018 RTM (B19394) installed by DVD
- NAV 2018 CU01 (B19846) installed by copying the ServiceTier folder on the CU01 DVD.
Tried with and without portsharing.
CU01 service fails to start, event log gives me this error

I solved the issue by doing this:


1) Uninstall RTM NST from control panel (kept other created services on copies of DVD folder named "ServiceTier")
2) Install CU01 NST from dvd
3) Create multiple copies of the service by copying the "Service" folder located on "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\110\Service"

That way both RTM services and CU01 can run without issues.

I guess there are some differences on files created by the Setup and the DVD folder of the CU01.
Hope that in future CUs this issue will be solved.

NAV2018: VSCode UpgradePerCompany/Database

Hi all,

It seems that when you republish an extension from VSCode (CTRL +F5) all the data inside the tables of your extension is removed.
I've read all there is to read about upgrade codeunits but it does not seem that OnNavAppUpgradePerCompany and OnNavAppUpgradePerDatabase works yet for extensions (with the use of NAVAPP.RestoreArchiveData of course)?

Last update I could find about this can be found here: https://github.com/Microsoft/AL/issues/62

Does anyone else have any information when we can expect this feature? If we can't upgrade our data then we can't republish any extensions (even if both publications are identical) which means we can't use extensions :-)

Roll Back Posting Routines

Hi all,
I have created qty assemble to order in Service Order
I follow all the steps and codes from sales order
but the thing is if there is an error, then it will posted half way (there are records in Service Ledger Entry & Item Ledger Entry, but no service shipment and invoice)
Scenario :
Line 1 (no qty assemble to order)
Line 2 (with qty assemble to order)
Line 3 (no qty assemble to order) -> for example here is the error

then Line 1 and 2, already posted to service ledger
I want to follow like sales order.
if there is an error in any line, then it will not create any lines in service ledger
any clue what i miss?

Filter gets stuck in a RTC page

I was on Item page, then I display Item Ledger Entries through Quantity on Hand field, then I select Posting Date to filter:

When I typed on filter "1/" and press tab, the page returns an error:

I have closed this page, but then when I tried to open Item Ledger entries I´m getting the message and the Item Ledger Entries page is not displayed.

Then wen I tried to perform same steps (Item and press over Quantity on Hand) I´m getting the same error message. Even if I go to MRD page or any page having Quantity on Hand, I cannot display Item Ledger Entries and returns the error message.

I´m using RTC from NAV 2009, I have tried all this advices:

I imported the item pictures by sql from other base with NAV2017 too

I see, in sql, this fields haves information but i don´t see anything in NAV Client and I don't know wy??

Error Posting Warehouse Shipment

hello again experts!! NAV2017

When the Warehouse Shipment is registered, it sometimes gives an error and registers a part of the lines (all the lines until the error) and leaves the rest unregistered (from the error line downwards).

This generates two Posted Whose Shipment which causes me serious disorders.

How can I rollback so that if I find an error I do not register anything?

Do standard texts no longer work with "?" in NAV2017?

In Nav2009 the standard texts longer avaiable with "?", for example in the field description

But Nav2017 does not write anything

Is this function no longer???

Revaluation item with costing method average

Hi everyone,

I have a problem when I try to do Revaluation item with costing method average, the program said "You cannot revalue individual item ledger entries for items that use the average costing method", it happen after I select the transaction in field Applies-to Entry. But there is no problem when I try with NAV 2017, please give me solution, thanks.

FYI, I using NAV 2013.

Value Entry "Source No." field - flip flop from Bill-to to Sell-to and back to Bill-to

Can anyone explain the logic of usingthe Bill-to Customer No. as the Source No. in the Value Entry table, then running sales reports off the Value Entries? There must be some underlying reason why Bill-to Customer (or Pay-to Vendor) No. is used, but I can't make sense out of it.

If the Bill-to is a corporate financial entity, how would sales reporting based on that Financial Entity make any sense at all?

We recently upgraded a client from NAV2009, in which we had implemented the MS HotFix changing the Value Entry Source No to Sell-to Customer (or Buy-From Vendor). The upgrade tool kit changed Source No. back to Bill-to, and the current codeunit is posting Bill-to.

Can anyone explain or support this logic?
