i try to upgrade reports in 2013 but this error show ''Could not initialize Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Report Builder 3.0: Illegal characters in path. Verify that Report Builder 3.0 is installed correctly.'' after click upgrade reports.

I have created a transfer order while shipment we have pick up existing lot, at the time of receipt we want to assign new lot no,is it possible. At present system not allowing. We are using Nav 2013R2 .

Hi,

I am trying to run Pages from Object Designer but it gives the following error: "The specified profile is not valid"

The error is the same even in the case of starting the RoleTailored Client from a Command Prompt.

Any suggestion what should I check?

Hi all,

Did anyone work on some procedure which will export/import CaptionML property from NAV objects?
Know that translation tool can do that, but it's not that close to regular user, so I would like to enable them to make captions for some customization.

Hello,

I have a process where i import one Sales Order from SalesForce to table Sales Header.
After the importation, it is possible to Update the Gen. Bus. Posting Group depending of the location?

For Example

IF "Sales Header"."Location Code"='MAI-AM' THEN
    "Sales Header"."Gen. Bus. Posting Group"='AMOSTRAS'
    "Sales Header".Modify;

I tried to use this code on the table, but when i send the sales order from Sales Force to NAV it says an error where it sayd the Document Header No. does not exist.

Should this code been written in the table or ?!

I'm using below code and getting pop-up as shown in below image.
Now here, I don't want to see this pop-up message. Is there any option by which we can control this or can always allow this automation variable from backend??

Hi there,

i am purchasing an item that consists of serveral subcomponents (a BOM). Those subcomponents can have serial or lot numbers.
When I receive the item, I want to be able to enter serial and lot numbers for the subcomponents so that I can afterwards see which subcomponents were used in my purchased item.

Is it somehow possible?
Do I need to create a production order for this although we are not producing anything?

I have an NAV implementation which is running on an Azure VM. I am writing out files to the server which are then ftp'd to a 3rd party warehouse.

I need users to be able to view and move these files from their local machines. So basically I need a file share which is accessible from both the server and the client pc.

The server and the client pc's are not on a shared domain. I thought I had a reasonably elegant solution in that I could create a file share using an Azure storage account. A "net use" function allows me to create a share on the server and also on the users pc's. This works very well and users can see directories and files in this share.

However, NAV does not seem to be able to write out to this directory. When I call MyFile.CREATE(.....) I simply get a "Could not find a part of the path 'F:\Warehouse\Outbound\SORD_SO00412.xml'." if I map the drive, or "I/O Error" if I use a UNC path.

I appreciate that this is likely due to the fact that this is not a "normal" windows directory. Has anyone manged to write to such a directory and have sample code they could share?

I was trying to rename a G/L account when I got this Error message:



The G/L account that I'm trying to rename is having lots of transactions. Is that a possible reason for the error mentioned above ? and how can we resolve it ?

It's Dynamics NAV 2016 version btw.

Hi !

can anyone suggest me that I have a field of Option data type of parameters blank,'a','b' in a table of X. it should display only blank at starting stage. When I select 'a' then the Card page of X need to open.

Trying to connect powerbi to Nav 2016 but getting frustrated. I do not know what I am doing wrong!

I have enabled the odata feed, got the url right and its working by checking it on the browser.

I got an access to power bi and I do Get Data -> Services-> Dynamics Nav, then typed in the url , authentication would be basic , here i tried windows login password and web access key password but nothing works at all!

I do not get any error message just it ends up spitting and think about it.

Please help me with this connection issue

Hello, We created a New report and wrote the attached Code to send Email certain data to one user.


Attached is the SMTP setting on our NAV server.


However, we executed the report, we got the error

Hi... does anybody who has a friend at Microsoft know when they are going to make a NAV 2018 RDC image available in the Azure Image gallery? With all their hype pushing the cloud, I really thought they would have had one up and running by now. I have posted this question on the Dynamics NAV Team Blog too, but nobody has bothered to answer me.... Lets see what I get here?

After one of our customers had to re-install the SQL and Navision server, users now occasionally see the English table and field names, even though the German captions exist. Sometimes this also appears with the values of option fields. As an example, I enclose an image of a role center ... But the phenomenon also occurs in reports.

We have already tried many things:
- newly created language folder (for the clients and for the server)
- all objects compiled
- etc.

What could that be? Thank you in advance for your prompt help.
